This Shipping & Delivery Policy (“Policy”) applies to orders placed with Bonafide Bakes (Bonafidebakes) through our website, mobile application (where available), and direct order channels.
Where you place an order through a third-party food delivery aggregator (for example, Swiggy or Zomato), delivery, cancellations, and refunds may be governed by that platform’s terms in addition to this Policy. This Policy should be read together with our Terms & Conditions and Refund & Cancellation Policy.
1. Serviceable Geography
Due to the perishable and made-to-order nature of our products, we currently deliver only within designated local serviceable areas (including permitted Bengaluru pin codes, as displayed at checkout). We do not offer intercity or international shipping unless explicitly stated for a specific product or service.
We reserve the right to decline or cancel orders that are not serviceable or are not operationally feasible. If we cancel an order before dispatch, we will refund the amounts received for that order, subject to any non-refundable rules imposed by a third-party platform where applicable.
2. Delivery Methods
- Local Delivery: Fulfilled through our staff and/or third-party logistics partners, subject to operational feasibility.
- Pickup: Available only for products explicitly marked “Pickup Available” at the time of order placement.
3. Delivery Timelines
Delivery dates and times are estimates provided in good faith and may change due to factors beyond our control, including traffic, weather conditions, access restrictions, high demand, or force majeure events. Where practicable, we will make reasonable efforts to inform you of material delays and revised estimates.
4. Delivery Charges and GST
All prices shown are inclusive of GST, unless stated otherwise. Any delivery fee, packaging fee (if applicable), or convenience fee (if applicable) will be displayed before you confirm your order.
5. Address and Recipient Obligations
You must provide an accurate and complete delivery address and a reachable phone number. You are responsible for ensuring that you or an authorized recipient is available to accept delivery during the selected slot.
If delivery fails due to an incorrect address, refusal, non-availability, access restrictions, or an inability to contact you, we may treat the order as a customer no-show. Because our products are perishable, refunds or replacements may not be available in such cases.
6. Inspection at Delivery
You should inspect the order at the time of delivery. If you believe the order is materially incorrect, contains missing items, or is damaged or spoiled at the time of delivery, you must notify us promptly and, where feasible, provide photos and/or video to support verification. Resolution will be handled in accordance with our Refund & Cancellation Policy.
7. Risk Transfer
Risk of loss, damage, or spoilage transfers to you upon successful delivery to the address provided (handover to you or your authorized recipient) or upon pickup handover, as applicable. Proper storage and handling after delivery or pickup is your responsibility.
8. Force Majeure
We are not liable for delivery delays or failures caused by events beyond our reasonable control, including natural disasters, strikes, curfews, lockdowns, infrastructure failures, government actions, or other force majeure events. Where delivery becomes impossible, we will evaluate appropriate remedies, including rescheduling or refund, depending on order status and perishability.
